Bryne disc sander Query?

A while ago I bought a disc sander from bryne. I was impressed with the quality but needed the fence for the mitre gague fence.
After repeat requests on his website regarding postage, haven't been able to get an answer from him.
SHOCKING AFTER SALES SERVICE.

I would like to find out what size thread the mitre gague is taped for.
Can any one help me?

First at $325 for a disc sander, not many people are going to be buying this. Maybe check with a model building forum.

If you have the miter gauge why not just buy the aux fence attachment. I am sure it will come with all hardware.

If you are trying to make your own, if it is not some oddball size why not take it to a Home Depot and try all the bolts they have. They have machine screws too. Maybe you will get lucky.
 
I have a rather old Byrne disc sander.

There are 2 holes threaded National Coarse 4-40 (on the center bar) and 2 holes threaded N.C. 2-56 (on the half-moon shaped part).

There is one threaded stud (4-40) which locks the angle. The threaded stud can go in one of the two holes on the center bar depending on which way around the half-moon shaped angle-setting piece is (the protractor).

I don't have a fence, but I assume it mounts on the edge of the half-moon using the 2-56 threaded holes.

I know you are on metric over there, but perhaps you remember the "old" thread specs..

I am wondering how much the shipping was to get that machine from USA to you in Tennant Creek ! :rolleyes:

I forgot to mention that the pivot screw/hole for adjusting the angle is also 4-40.
