Well I broke my toll rest holder cast housing. I guess I will be calling Jet Monday and ordering a new one. I have a 12x20 Jet I was turning a fairly heavy out of balance chunk of Oak. The lathe was vibrating a bit I guess a bit too much for the cast housing of the rest holder.

Any body hear of these things breaking. I don't really know how old the lathe is. I bought it used last summer. Is there anywhere else to get parts other than Jet. I will post in the classifieds also to see if anyone has some spare parts.

If Jet will not give you one you might look into the base that Packard Woodworks has on clearance. They are made for 12' lathes and have a 1" tool post which you may need  They are made for lathe beds with a 1.5" gap between the ways but are easily modified to fit a 1.25" gap. The modification is explanined at the AAW forum. I can give you the link if you need it. I put one of these on my Delta 46-460 several weeks ago and really like it. You will need to paint yours white.
