So I decided to give something similar a try. Here is what I came up with.

The major change I made was not going all the way through as the plans call for then using a rubber plug on the bottom. They are made of Ash and the lines on the Pepper were burned with wire and wood.
I was super happy that they were won by a really great turner in our club and she liked them.
