Over the years, I have donated thousands of dollars worth of merchandise and gift certificates for the IAP Bash. Most of the time, I get an e-mail thank you from the winners, not always, probably about 70%. I was absolutely shocked and blown away when today's mail came! For the very first time, I received a hand written, personalized Thank You card from Brian G!

Now, don't get me wrong, I appreciate the e-mail thank you notes and actually don't expect anything at all. When a thank you of any kind is received, it is just icing on the cake so to speak. I enjoy donating to IAP and other groups so that is all the reward I care about. However, Brian G's note was especially appreciated since he took the time out of his busy day to hand write it and mail it! It made me really feel appreciated!

Thank you Brian G for the consideration and for brightening my day!

You see! The art of hand writing is not lost.

Full marks to Brian G. Well done!

I made Pen & Pencil sets for the older kids in my street, this was their Christmas present. All but one wrote a thank-you note to me, with one of them pointing out, it was written with the pen you gave me.

So, it is very nice when others recognise what you do for them.

Dave.

And some of you wonder why we are so proud of the Minnesota Chapter........It is because of the class of membership we have. Brian is just a shinning example.

(Of course Lynn uses alot of EEE and diamond polish on him)

Good job Brian.

Thank you for the kind remarks. I truly appreciate the generous contributions of the vendors and donors of prizes for the BASH and all of the other IAP activities throughout the year. I imagine that the costs of all of the donations for the various events add up.

As prizes came in the mail, I sent out the thank you notes. Regrettably, there is one prize donor for which I don't have an address, so the electronic thank you has to suffice.

I figure that we make instruments for writing, and we should use them for that purpose.

I got one of Brian's hand written notes once and mentioned to him that it struck me funny that we all make pens for a hobby yet it seems he was the only one who actually wrote thank you notes with them. Reminded me that my own manners need some polishing.
I agree with Curtis, Brian you're a class act~
