Brass Tube Lengths

Are the brass pen tubes made from K&S telescoping tubing? Can one purchase long lengths of tubing that can be cut to a specific length? I am wondering because I'm wanting to turn a pen without the center band and could make the upper blank a bit longer to compensate for the missing band. I suppose I could just use a longer blank and not really need the tube to take the full length of the blank. Just wondering so I thought I'd ask.

Hi Les,
Try PSI they sell long tubes in lots of I think 10 in diff sizes. Hope this helps

Tube wall thickness is different. The inside diameter will be too small on that K&S tubing,

Thank you for the replies. I was hoping to cut a fat hog with the K&S tubing. I'll try PSI.

I've been down that road....


On the K&S and the like long tubes you mite find the O.D. the same but the I.D. will be different...


Pen suppliers sell popular sizes in 10" lengths...
