This is a kit I picked up from Wood Turners catalog. It's a 3 piece eagle head cane made with 3 pieces of mahogany and brass couplers and a tip on the end. The wood was mine that my dad had given me a while ago. Total size is roughly 35" tall so was challenging taking pictures. This was my first attempt. There are some improvements I see for next time. I still need to poly this, then once that is complete I am going to use loctite for the sections to ensure they hold together well. The directions called for epoxy to glue in the coupler pieces. Since they were threaded and screwed in so tight, I instead used gorilla glue. I did dry sanding on each section up to 600 grit, then used HUT crystal coat. Once I get the poly on there I think it will truly shine. This was fun to do and was a big project for me personally. If I do more I learned a few things on this one, like not to use vise grips with no covering to turn the coupler pieces into the drilled holes. That it why the bottom section is thinner. I had to shave down the brass on those pieces. Thank you so much for looking.

Looks good. I have one of those handles or something like it. My brother found it at a garage sale. I plan on making one eventually.
