Good news is my neighbor has a huge stack and can have anything I want. Lathe is limited to six inches from bed to headstock center. Some has been cut and has turned gray on the ends with some cracking. Most recent was cut about two months ago. Looking forward to it as I have seen some nice turnings from Bradford pear. Need to find a way to dry it so turnings can be ready by November first craft display. Comments are welcome. TIA

I have some pen blanks made from one that came from my front yard. Several of the branches had been dead for a while so they were not only dried out but were also spalted and had some insect/worm holes. They have made some really nice pens. - Dave
