This is what I have done to lock the spindle on the lathe for removing chucks, facplates and bowls. Nothing like gotta get it done by the weekend to help a fella finish something The timber pretty much speaks for itself! The tones in that chunk were really equaled out over the entire blank. Did you happen to get a couple of shots of the finished finish? Scott (got to find a log of that) B
