My mothers family lived in an old farm home in Northern Indiana for nearly 100 years. Originally purchased by my grandfather who worked at a dairy. A couple of years ago the youngest of her brothers sold the house. Before they closed I was able to get a branch from an old cedar tree in the yard. I made these bowls, one for each of the 7 siblings (6 aunts and uncles plus my mother). This will be a surprise to all except the one uncle that asked me to do this. These are not the eastern red cedar but they are definitely some type of cedar.
