Bowl inscription dilemna

Hey all,

I'm working on a few commissioned pieces for a client (ornaments, pen and a bowl). The wood I'm using came from the property of the clients in-laws and is going to surprise the family with these gifts. The ornaments will be going to the children (and there is no room to write anything) but the bowl will be going to his in-laws and will likely be displayed/used at their cabin on the property.

What I'm looking for is an inscription to put on the bottom of the bowl.

They call the property 'Pineviews' and their names are Pat and Pat Doe .

I'm looking for suggestions for a catchy saying (like "From the Pineviews property" or "From the woods at Pineviews")

When I read the post it sounds like the client commissioned these pieces and the client is surprising the family with the gifts. That's why I thought the client should decide if they want anything inscribed and if they do what it should say.

@Jim B - you are correct, I reread the post, and it reads like both.

The gifts are going to be a surprise from the client to his family. I typically write the type of wood, date and initial the bottom of each bowl I make before I put a finish on the bottom. I figured this would be a way of letting the next generations know of the history of the bowl.
When I mentioned adding a little something to the bottom of the bowl, the client said he was up for a surprise as well.

You are correct in putting your info on the bottom of the bowl. If you come up with something additional, how about having it burned into the bottom of the inside of the bowl, and then filled with clear epoxy.
