The same best finishes for pens are the same best finishes for bottle stoppers. Made 4 today and 2 got Mylands Friction Polish and 2 got the full CA finish. I like CA the best.

Edit to add...after thinking about it..the best finish for a bottle stopper is when you pull it from the bottle and pour a glass.

For me, it depends on the final shape of the bottle stopper. Since I'm still a rookie, I've found the CA finish for some of the more intricate ones a bit on the difficult side, so those usually get a Friction Polish. The simpliar ones get the full CA/BLO

I would not use the friction polish for stoppers because that kind of finish will dissolve in alcohol. Being that its going on a stopper... well, can you see my concern here?

I use deft spray lacquer. The wine does not touch the wood.
