So I found myself preferring Mexican Coke over the domestic version. Pure cane sugar makes all the difference, and it seems it's not as carbonated to me. The only bottle opener I had was on my can opener so I finished this up after work today. I cast the blank quite some time ago, maybe a year or longer but had no use for one this size until now. Sorry for all the dust in the pics, I should've hit it with the air compressor after I was done buffing it. It's getting late for me and I'm not about to take more photos.

Hey ! . It is neat to see a "classic" glass Coke bottle again !!!!

I have a vintage wooden Coke box from the 50's which a few members here might remember.
It would make a nice backdrop for your pictures.

BTW, I like your bottle opener !!!

I drink very little soda, but when I do it's Mexican Coke or Pepsi. I can tolerate US Pepsi, but not Coke--but the cane sugar makes either from Mexico good. I also go through streaks of root beer from cane sugar (Boylan's or Sioux City), or an occasional birch beer (Hank's or Boylan's--when I can find Hank's in the Midwest) or sarsaparilla (Sioux City).

Nice opener, first class!!

Thank you. Reading your post made me realize I haven't had sarsaparilla in years. I'm going to look around for some this weekend.

Nice job Jay - I like it! We have to make ourselves something now and again. I'm keeping the last pen I made!

Yes we do! I made another yesterday to keep at my job, but I'll admit it's not as nice as this one.

Very nice blank and excellent turning. I'm a cream soda fan myself.

Thank you sir! I don't drink much cream soda, but when I get the taste for it, nothing else will do.
