Boot Jacks

I always have lots of cutoffs and scrap from cutting the pen blanks I sell, plus wood from other project. This is the way I use them so they don't go in the trash.

You use them to help take your boots off. Put the one you want to take off in the "U" and put the other foot on the back end.

OK, I'll ask. What are they?

They are used to remove boots from your feet. Instead of bending over, pulling, tugging and swearing you put one foot on the lower end of the jack, insert the heel of the boot into the crotch and slide the boot off your foot. Now put bare foot on jack insert other boot into crotch and remove boot. If you have never worn western boots they can be difficult to get off.

Pointy cowboy boots are the favorite tool for killing cockroaches in a corner. NY has plenty of roaches of all types.
