I'm liking this material more and more despite its issues when turning. The cap is fully lined, the finial is a leftover piece of alumilite.. finished with CA..osprey nib unit in Ebonite section

Gorgeous pen. Love the character in the wood.

I dulled more than a few chainsaw blades on that stuff as a kid growing up.

That looks great. I like the wood character, too. I'm curious what issues you've had turning it? I've done a few in Osage Orange and not had problems with it. Maybe I'm just getting lucky?

Osage orange and Bois d Arc ("bow wood") are the same species. Also called Hedge Apple. Beautiful stuff, and this one shows it off wonderfully.
