Old science experiment, boiling is a combination of temperature and air pressure.

My apologies for the video length and turned horizontal, still working on videos.

We did that in Physics class in the '60's. It never works in a clean beaker and not always in a dirty one. The reason to run this is to show what is called the 'tri-point of water. That is the point where you have all three phases of water (liquid, gas and solid) present at the same temperature. Really cool to a science geek.
