I know this may seem odd here, but if anyone is in the field or knows anyone in the field of boiler and pressure vessel inspectors; please PM me with contact or employment info. I passed the National Board Inservice exam in December 2012, and I am looking for opportunities in the northteastern Illinios and southeastern Wisconsin area.

Ben, I've got a friend that is somewhat of a "Boiler Inspector", although I don't know if it's what you had in mind. He works for an outfit out of Ogden, Utah. They have contracts with numerous nuclear power plants. Here's the crazy part… They'll take a team into these power plants that have shut down the boilers for cleaning. His team sets up "explosive devices" inside the boilers, run like hell and take cover, and "BOOM"! down comes all the mineral deposits that have crusted on the sides of the boilers. They leave the cleanup to the plant employees. He gets to play with explosives all day plus he makes bank too! Sounds like a "blast" :biggrin:
