These are Bob Ross paintings (6 total) which Wifey's dad, Chuck, painted in the late 80's/early 90's. He would watch Bob Ross on tv and paint along. We have had these stored in the basement since 2004 when Wifey's dad passed. Chuck did an amazing job on these...and these were the only paintings he ever did!

Two are for Wifey and her sister and the other four go to the four grandkids. With three being given so far, there have been some tears shed as the g-kids remembered seeing paintings on Pappy's easel. The g-kids are too young to remember seeing him painting these.

My task was framing them. Four were on stretch canvass and two were canvass on hard stock. Sourcing frames (inexpensive) was key. I found four 16x20 unfinished pine frames at Michael's (on sale) but the 2 - 18x24 were not to be found. I ended up at Salvation Army and chose two frames (one a mirror and the other a framed print) at a great price. Both were oversize so I disassembled and cut to size.
All were finished with three coats of Lamp Black milk paint (General Finishes) from Woodcraft with a clear flat top coat ( also General Finishes latex).
These frames turned out pretty nice for a first time with this milk paint finish.
