OK this is a dumb question I know, and yes I did a search on the home page. What dose BLO do?

Boiled Liseed Oil. Available in the paint department of any hardware store. As long as the can doesn't say RAW Lineed Oil, it's boiled.

I use it to "pop" the grain on figured woods. It also makes a good lube when applying ca glue. I have used it as a lube for applying lacquer too. It is even called a finish. Not the most protective one but it is a finish.

It's an oil finish.

Most varnishes will have BLO as one of thier ingredients
