I just got about 2-3 feet of blistered maple from a local woodworker and he says its quite rare, to the tune of one 1 tree in a million having that figure. Thoughts?
I have seen blistered maple, and it is quite rare. I may have some kicking around still but if my memory is correct it is not as heavily blistered as I have seen it could be.
Mine is not as heavily figured as that, wish it was. Thanks, but I think that this might be one piece of wood that I hang on to. I think that it might be popular with my pen buyers. If I get anymore from him, I'll trade. One think about wood shops, you just never know what might turn up. Thanks for your responses.
