Wenge turned down to size and sanded to 400 grit; dunked in bleach for 6 hours; dried for 12 hours before sanding again. Zebra wood centerband.

Wow, that really looks interesting.

I just turned a couple of Wenge majestic jr. pens, one rollerball, one fountain yesterday.

I think I'll give this a try next time. Thanks!

I'm still trying to find the bleach. LOL. We don't use it for anything else, but I swear I saw some not long ago. I'll be out and about tomorrow. @Wmcullen it looks good. How long did you soak those barrels?

Did you use CA or epoxy to attach the wood to the brass barrels?

I'm wondering about the effect of bleach on CA, which is primarily what I use.
