I sell blanks here and on Ebay- Most of the time the blanks are 5 1/2" long by 13/16" square.
That size limits the amount I can put into a USPS Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box to 8 blanks. I can fit 15 in a Flat Rate Envelope for the same postage. I read in some listings that 5"L by 3/4" Sq. up to twenty can be put into the same box. My question is, do most of you find the 5" X 3/4" to be sufficient to turn your pens?

You can actually put 22 3/4"sq x 5-3/8" blanks into a Small Flat Rate box.

If the pen can not be made with those dimensions, then that is a REALLY BIG PEN! And those size pens are usually going to wear something a little more special that the average piece of pine.....

Just my $0.02....

The only time that I need something larger than 3/4 square is when my drill runs out the side and that is my fault. If someone needs a larger blank, they could then order it special or pay extra shipping for the mid size box.
My 2 cents today so there!
