Blank haul

Stopped by my wife's uncle's house and there was a box of scrap outside his shop with some cut offs.

I asked him if this was scrap. One thing led to another and I got this box plus a 4 foot hunk of 3" square mahogany.

Mostly walnut but a little more red than you would expect.

My local Rockler used to have tubs of scrap like this. I would find all kinds of different wood.

Then it just disappeared. Never did ask where it all went.
