Blank Cutoff Idea

I seen a video online of someone using pen blank cutoffs to make beads. Decided to give it a try. Bought some eyelets at Hobby Lobby, in the leatherwork section. Fun, easy and quick to make. Don't know if there's much of a market for such things but my wife liked them and snatched them up. These were just pen cutoffs, so it would definitely be a good way to use them.

Do a little research on EDC beads... it's a whole market. We sell some of our shorter cutoffs to some folks from time to time to do limited runs of beads. Who knew?

There is a market. I made a few like this with some tiny Fordite cut offs I had and sold them as keychains…. They did incredibly well and paid for all the blanks.

Those are darn nice! I really like what the cutoffs from segmenting can still be used for. Very well done.

I make a few duck calls here and there. I use beads for the lanyards.

Lookup "Beads of Courage". There are wood turners that make bowls for children undergoing cancer treatment. Every time they have something done, they get a bead for their bowl. Our woodturning club has done some.
