Black Titanium Koa Cigar (The Twin)

This is the book match twin of the Satin Pearl Koa Cigar I posted a few days ago. I did this one in Black Titanium. It is for dad so it is a bit fatter and more masculine. I had trouble with this one as well. Cracked out a section nea r the nib and had to do a dust, fiber, and CA rebuild. Cracked the CA finish too which necessitated a disassemble and redo of that as well. Geeze these have been two tough pens.

Sanded to 240 grit, sanding sealer applied and then sanded to 600 grit. Thin CA with BLO on the towel... many coats. Novus and Renwax.

Not my dad... the dad of the Buffalo Police Officer that lives next door. His son asked me to make two Koa pens for his parents as well as a Desert ironwood pen for a retiring LEO in Arizona. So Friday he gets all three to distribute. I have to show them off on Thursday.
