Black Oak Burl

I had to dry these in the mic---wood was still way to wet --- here's what I came up with
Black Oak Burl-----has to be the hardest burl wood on earth---or close to it anyway.
Finish is BLO-Ca.

Nice .. good looking grain and figuring. I've never turned this but I like
the colors in it.

There is even some curl in the blanks that doesn't show in the pics. I have a bunch of these blanks cut but it will take awhile for them to dry.
We are still getting the winter storm---today started with frezzing rain and ice---tonight we get snow and frezzing rain. We are lucky so far it's just nasty outside.

Fine set of pens Gary. Some oaks look just as good as some of the exotic burls don"t they.Good workmanship too.
