I recently received some crushed velvet acrylic blanks from a member on here l, so I wanted to try using one. I picked a black/gray blank and paired it with plain black acrylic, since the crushed velvet was slightly too small in diameter to make a cap from. I like ink windows, so I made one from transparent acrylic. I made the clip and bands from Argentium silver. The pen uses a jowo 6 nib.

Fantastic! I am a long time fountain pen enthusiast and did simple vintage restoration, but now have made the jump to pen turning. Did you fashion the clip and rings yourself? Trying to figure out how to get an ink window in an acrylic or alumilite blank. Is it a separate cylinder? I don't see any threads that unite it with the body or the section. Magic??
