Heads up guys! If it wasn't so funny and stereo typed, it would be an insult! I asked for--and got--a set of screwdrivers one Christmas. Then the guys in the house promptly started "borrowing" my tools because they never put theirs away, so they could not find them, and my bottom drawer was right there, so they just figured I wouldn't mind....WRONG!!!!!!! I finally got the girliest pink pearly nail polish at the local five and dime, and proceeded to coat all the tools. Funny thing, but after that, they never seemed to go walkabout, especially if it was project involving other males.

Not only do we deserve our own lathes, we deserve our own REAL tools!

Last Christmas I asked for--and got--a hammer. Daddy was a bit surprised, after all, I have a husband now to borrow tools from. My complaint over Jim's hammer is that it was too large a diameter for my hand. I know have a full sized, but slightly smaller diameter handle hammer. And wouldn't you know it, Jim got his grabby little paws on it. I promptly grabbed it back, marched off to the bathroom, rumaged through my daughter's nail polish, and he and my son have sworn they would not be caught dead with Mom's hammer! Don't know why...I thought the little pink flowers and red hearts and curlyque lettering was rather striking.

And if you are shopping for some one with smaller hands, let me put in a plug for my Ryobi cordless drill. Does a full size job, but it's a lady drill. I can hold it in one hand!

scoutharps, I understand what you are saying. After having more extension cords walk away than I would care to count, I found some hot pink cords and haven't lost one since. I have heard a few interesting comment though.

Since my wife has come to understand the value of owning quality tools, I would never get her something like that. After years of trying to explain why I was paying for the tool guy's Cadillac, I began buying her top of the line pots and pans, and other appliances and utensils. She is now a convert and encourages me to buy quality when buying tools for home and work!!!.

And hey, there is not one thing wrong with a guy having something hot pink!!!! I have a hot pink extension cord also!!!! And one of my more prized tools in my tool box at work is a hot pink Snap-On ratcheting screwdriver!!! And then there is the head covers for my mini Maglite and 3/8" drive air ratchets, all hot pink!!!! And I just might get me one of those pink tool pouches VisExp linked to!!!!
