This is Gaboon Ebony -- the blackest of woods -- sparkled up with Sterling silver stripes and nickel silver trim. Feels pretty good in the hand -- substantial without feeling like you're overloaded.

Love the pen Doug difficult to photograph black I know reminds me of the old days in B&W to get a colour pic we used cow gum on the blacks sepia toned for the skin tones and it was in the 70,s before colour took off.

You went to a lot of detail with this hand made kit and pen and it shows.

I thought you had moved from New Mexico mate.

Nice to hear from you Peter and thanks for the kind words-- we moved to Oregon last year to be close to the grandchildren. The air is certainly chunky down here at sea level!
