Black Acrylic blank with orange/yellow

Everyone that was looking for the blank I made this pen out of, I am not 100% sure if the one BB sells or Berea has called AA-03 is the same. I will order one with my order this week and let you know.

Thanks Tom, I don't think that it is unless they changed. I've had several of the Berea blanks and they were just a solid line of orange.

Thanks Wayne, anyone know who makes the acrylic blanks for Woodcraft? They say made in Taiwan. The local woodcraft still has not gotten anymore in.

Woodcraft is just a reseller of Berea Products. The acrylic blanks they sell are the same ones you buy from Berea...or AZ. I've turned several of each.The blank AA-03 is the same one pictured in the above post ....they vary wildly from solid black with a orange line to black and orange with a silvery grey pearl swirl underlaying the orange.( I think it's the back edge of whatever material they use to get the orange ribbon) FYI I sell a lot to the Harley crowd... certian light they look almost brown and orange.

Good news Mike, I have gotten alot of emails from IAP members asking where I got it. Glad to know where they get it now.

They are actualy advertised as brown and orange I believe.

Very nice looking pen.
Did you have to do anything to the tube to blacken it. Or is this pretty solid all the way through.

It was solid all the way through. I think I still took a black perm marker and darkened it.
