Birthday gifts

As a kid I did not get presents on my siblings birthday, but my wife and mother in law seem to be under the idea that when one of our kids has a birthday, the other has to get gifts also. Is that just crazy? Hey my wife's birthday is in November so do I get gifts?

I think its crazy but that seems to be the new trend. Same reason there are no competive sports at early ages. No one is allowed to win, everyone gets a "participation" certificate. Thats why we can't keep score at little league games. Don't want to damage little Billy's or little Sally's fargile phyics(sp).

Perhaps that's why we're becoming a nation of wimps.

Please excuse the rant, these things really trip my trigger:biggrin:.
