I actually finished this one a month ago and kinda forgot about posting it. I am doing a bit of trading with a guy who has some woods with nostalgic value he'd like made into pens.



Bird's Eye isn't some thing I'd normally use, but this was a mighty fine piece of it.

Up next will be a couple Osage Orange pens that required some real thought because the blank wasn't really the right shape from which to get two pens.

Nice looking pen and the figure in it is great. How did you finish it??? I always found that birdseye is one wood that needs an oil to pop those eyes. Gives it a nice warm color too. Thanks for showing.
