Hi guys,
After my "Shameful" post of my jarrah toolhandle I thought that I had better do the right thing and make a proper one.:biggrin:
I dont know what type of timber it is as it was given to me. I have a proper brass ferrule to use when I get the old handle off.:)
Finished with Shellawax Glow.

Bob, that is pretty cool! You made a tool handle that doubles as a honey dipper! Great idea! LOL! Actually it looks great... better than mine for sure. That is certainly a more proper piece of timber for a tool handle than Poplar. But I honestly thought it was Cherry, or I woulda found something else. Again, nice challenge piece. It should do the job nicely.

That looks to have some characteristics of some Aussie Oaks I've seen. Also has a hint of a Narra aspect too.
