Big salad bowl for sis

My sister requested a BIG salad bowl. Last spring when I heard a chain saw I got in the truck and went to find the source. A huge Ash had been damaged in a storm and the entire tree was coming down. This bowl is 15" diameter and 8" deep. I sure hope she likes salad as much as she says she does.

Great bowl.. wish I had lathe to let me try one that size. my big lathe is a Ridgid from HD.. can't get it slow enough to do really large stuff.. lowest speed is 870 and if the wood is much out of balance the lathe tries to leave... it's supposed to be about 14" on the headstock, but don't think I can really get that size on it...

it is a beautiful bowl.
