Has anyone done a larger cast?

I have been asked if I could do a 4" X 4" X 6" (for a lidded box project)

Questions?

1. if using a little less catalast I assume it will take longer to set up. (right or wrong)

2. Should / could I pour all at one time using lets say a milk container (1/2 Gal paper) and if so how would you mix colorant (pearlwhite) in such a large cast?

3. Bubbles? I can use a PP. and or vibrations...

If you have done one I sure would like to see a picture

The larger the PR casting is, the hotter it will get during cure, so use absolutely minimal catalyst. If it gets too hot, the casting may crack. Try 1 or 2 drops per ounce…you won’t need much with something that large.

BTW, turning a PR hollow-form (box bottom) will be a tremendous challenge...I'm guessing you can pour it successfully, but turning it will be a whole different story.
