This is my 2nd one of these. This one made from the block of material I showed in another thread. I'm rating it just an okay, nothing really spectacular. Not a lot of difference from any other spectraply blank, of which I'm not much of a fan. The pen utilizes the smaller brass click mechanism, still not a fan of it, maybe it's just this pen kit, but I've had to fiddle with both of them before they actually work well. I think it's because the plunger has to actually be pressed into the pen to engage, a touch past flush. I have had to put a small drop of light oil into the mechanism. Critiques, comments always welcome.

Sometimes it's the unique blanks that draw attention and sales. It came out nice, IMO. Plus I like the pen stand. Need to make some for this spring. Got a multi-vendor place that is interested in carrying pens as there are no others showing them.

I like it a lot. It's a unique blank. I've made two of the Big Ben EDC pens. One worked fine, the other not so much. PSI is sending me a new click mechanism for that one. Here are photos of the entire pen for Mal.

It is a different look than standard spectraply Not bad at all. Not a fan of the kit but that is a personal choice.
The overall look of the kit is not bad but after making a couple, I may be wrong but I don't think you'll be able to disassemble these without messing up the click mechanism.

I like how the pen turned out with that blank. It really catches the eye. The side views with the sharp points look great. I can see that the other facets with the curved segments have some color blur between sections, but that is likely the nature of the material. So what other pens are you going to make with the remaining 11 blanks? 😁

Yes the color blur is just the nature of the beast. I didn't know if the color would bleed so I didn't do any sanding. I have no plans yet for the rest. I only cut two blanks off the block.

Thanks for showing the finished pens. After seeing your post of the blank material I thought I should get some. Now I think I'll pass. Thanks again. I always look forward to seeing your work.
