Has anyone had any problem with the Big Ben EDC click pen? I've made several, but the one I'm using for my daily work seems to develop a problem with the click mechanism every week or so. The hexagonal button that screws onto the click mechanism unscrews itself (I almost lost it one time). It has also "jammed" a few times and I have had to completely remove the click mechanism and reinstall it to get it to work again.
Has anyone else encountered similar problems with this pen?

I've had problems with every single one I've made. That's one kit I'll never buy again.

I've often considered this kit. Thanks for pointing out the issue. I've had several rollerballs with metal-on-metal threads that start to unscrew just through normal use. I have often considered buying some of the Henkel purple Loctite 222 threadlocker to try on them, but so far I just put up with it. - Dave

I too was considering using blue thread lock on them but hesitant in case I had to remove it for some other reason.
Purple is the weakest threadlocker that Loctite makes, but nobody ever seems to carry it in retail and I've just never ordered any. I can get the blue in our hardware and automotive stores. - Dave

Same here. I can get a 2oz bottle of blue or red at the hardware store I work for $10.00

I had the same problem with the one in my carry rotation. I used thread locker on it and haven't had a problem since. I really like the kit but wish it had the skm-88 instead of the skm-192. I have had similar problems with other kits where the cap comes off the 192
