I'd like some opinions on Coffee Bean pen blanks.
I'm looking for a best-in-class product. My partner got one at Rockler, and it was difficult to work with and finish. Beans would pop out and require filling. I made a crochet hook kit using the blank for the New York Sheep and Wool Festival in Rhinebeck the first person to look at it, purchased it. My clientele drinks a lot of coffee.

I'm gonna need more, but like I said, I want a better quality blank, if possible. I like to work with indie makers.
Any recommendations on sources would be appreciated, as would tips on how to work with these blanks.

These type of blanks can be difficult no matter where you get them. I'm sure some are a little better than others based on how hot they mix their resin but to help with turning them, I would suggest coating them with thin CA every once in a while during turning. This will help hold pieces in so they don't pop out at you. A good CA for this is the red label Ultra Thin GluBoost. It will wick in deeper than any thin Ca. Good luck!
