Beginner's luck

Here is a pen I just finished. I bought some spalted maple and made a few pens with it, but this one seemed special. Maybe it's not but it sure has a painted quality that the other pens don't have. Anyway I'm a beginner and would like your feedback. The pen is a PSI Big Ben in case you can't tell.
