Wow it really will be LABOR day for you. I'll think of you slaving away at the bandsaw while I eat, drink, and watch parades.

No, the casein is still "in production" from my order placed in late June. Comes through the same vendor, so if it existed, it would have been on this boat.

LOL I love the supply side of pen turning each root ball, burl, antler pokin out of a river bank or bone is a new opportunity to see something beautiful and amazing!

Down side is you end up with a LOT of stuff you dont have the heart to cut up........very soon I'll have enough to make my own Frakenmammoth!!!

Hey Ed,
I'm only 2 1/2 hours away. Maybe I should come over and help!!! Of course, I don't think my wife would like me skipping out on the honey-do list. Nuts!!!

Lucky you I am correcting business taxes while the kids and wife go have fun.

Don't ask

I don't have to ask---have personal experience with that arrangement!! Only GOOD thing: When you take breaks from the taxes, you can decide what YOU want to do or watch on TV for a break--no one there to say, "oh, THAT???"

For those who are not familiar with importing pen blanks, here is the way they arrive to us. The large sheets around the perimeter are the Italian Madreperlato and two sheets of a material called "Aurora". The rods on the floor are the alternative materials and some materials that are made for us.

"no picture,,,,,,didn't happen"?????

It happened:

The "before" picture is still too big to upload, but here is the "after" picture:

I didn't say it was all bad. I also get to go out to eat where I want without being out voted. Prime rib and beer tonight.

That being said the darn taxes will haunt me all weekend. They need to be back at the accountant Monday if they are open. It would not be so bad but the mess up was my fault.

Any Green or Purple Mosaics buried under there?

No, that's a "Dawn" product, she finds the "odd" stuff and small quantity products. She says she has the brown version now and continues to look for the other colors.

She needs to find some time to pour some Princess Plastics:tongue:

No "specialization" in this location!!!

The rods are 1.5meters long (59") plus 4" of packing on each end=67" (5'7"). Dawn is about 5' 3"! So, when she decides to "throw a package over her shoulder, it is a contest to see if she will go the direction SHE had in mind or be dragged by the package wherever IT was headed!:biggrin::biggrin:

She did, however, make just as many trips to the truck as anyone else!!

Haven't left yet, wife says finish cabinets for sunroom, NOLW. Cut and processed the lumber for cabinet doors this morning will go to shop and get rout table set for cope and stick on the rails and stiles. She's so cute when angry. Had a bottle stopper chucked up in the lathe too.
