Before I throw these away

Ran across five or six of these detachable key rings. Problem with them is the detachable end detachs very easily just with a light tug on it. I'd be afraid to sell these someone and have them lose their keys. Anyone know a way to make the detachable end key that comes loose fit tighter ?

Mannie; The ones I have had the small balls fall out and then the pieces will not stick together. The more recent ones are much robust. The removable part has a slide like a rifle slide pen. The spring is very strong and you have to slide it back to pull the ring apart. Now if only I didn't accidentally press the panic button when the keys are in my pocket! This is just a quick snapshot from my cell phone....
