I have had a Beall Collet Chuck set for a number of years. Until today, I have never had a need to use the 3/4 in collet. However, today I did and am a bit confused.
The collet labeled 3/4 actually has an ID of 5/8 and will not accept a 3/4 in rod.
Am I misunderstanding what the measurement refers to?
Or do I have a incorrectly labeled collet?
All the other collets have IDs that correspond to their measurements and accept rods of the diameter that they are labeled.
I'm thinking that I have a mistaken labeled 3/4 in collet and want to see if anyone else has ever run into this.
Thanks,
