Between pens, I still like to do my bowl turning. Lately, I have been working with the beaded illusion style that is going around. This latest platter has 4224 individual "beads" that are turned and wood burned into it, then colored with india ink. All comments and critiques welcome.

Beautiful. Just curious... how long did it take to make this platter?

I estimate at least 20 hours total. Turning the bowl is a piece of cake, it's the marking of lines, woodburning, and coloring that takes forever. I usually sit in the recliner to color, I get about an hour before my eyes start to flutter. After a previous experience, I have learned to stop before I color a bead the wrong color.

Thanks to all for the comments.
