A while ago I was told that you could use high density foam to apply CA to a blank.
Well, be careful what kind of foam you use folks. I had some foam from a hard drive package I got, and when it hit the CA glue it started melting and smoking like a cigar!
I then tried some foam from a 'mattress topper', and that was even worse!!!!
So, make sure you get the right type of high density foam. And, I wish I could tell you what that is, but obviously I don't know.
