One of my hobbies/vices is that I am a bit of a military history dork. My son and I have been collecting rocks (small ones- nothing any of the park services would miss) from various battlefields.
So far I have most of the American Civil War battlefields and a few from England, Scotland, and Ireland.
I've recently started thinking about making pens using lumber from battlefields. Does anyone happen to know of any sources?
I found one British site that has wood from Culloden but nothing else thus far.

Keep your eyes open to the "For Sale" section of the site. On occasion things will pop up here. There's another site, sorry forgot the name plus I'm getting older etc., that deals in specialized blanks. Good luck and be ready to spend some cash for some of it. I bought the last plank off the USS Missouri and it cost me over $500.00, so it ain't cheap. As you mentioned, Unique Pen Blanks has some neat stuff, I just need to get off my duff and order it. Good luck on your hunt.
