When I did the boiler plate Knights Armor pen one of the comments from MIKL
was that the shield could be used for a family crest, it got me to thinking that shields do carry a Coat of Arms and that started the voices in my head.
( I don't mind them,we usually get along).
I found my family Coat of Arms and being that my last name refers to a somewhat " care free " bunch the shield needed to be in less then unused condition.
The body of the pen is made with drift wood,under-turned,the shield is of copper sheeting and brass screws are used to fasten it,the coat of arms was
(and I know it looks it) hand painted onto the shield and than it was cast in PR
