Eric, which ornamental lathe are you using. If possible could you post some pictures of your set-up? I am considering one of these jewels and am in the "let's make a decision" stage.

I used a Lawler OT but they are not in production, there are very few of these machines available. The only machine in production and reasonable in price is a Lindow/White rose engine that would also do the job very well. With the Lindow/White you will need a good slide to control the cuts, I have a Hardinge(not cheap)on my LW.If you are really interested in getting a OT lathe start watching the net now for there are so few of these machines available.
