I learned about Basket Weave pyrography at the AAW symposium and bought a woodburner at the trade show. I had a rough turned cherry bowl ready for final turning so I decided to finish it and break in my new woodburner. I am pretty pleased with my first attempt at pyrography embellishment. The bowl is 9.5" in diameter and 4.23" tall.
Lida has been nagging me to drink more water so I decided to make myself a drinking cup using a 16 oz stainless steel cup and a piece of red gum that I had laying around. The red gum had a lot of cracks and voids and was just barely big enough. I filled the largest voids with milliput and finished it with systemthree epoxy so that it would hold up to hard use.
