Puzzle #5 is now ready. This is a Research or Memory Puzzle (wild guesses are also acceptable).

Your challenge is to identify the material this pen was made from, who made the pen, and what challenge had to be overcome in making this pen.

There are 4 questions to be answered and each is worth 1/2 point for a maximum of 2 points if you get them all right:
1. What material is the large top barrel made from.
2. What material is the bottom part of the pen made from (the black & white part).
3. Who made the pen (real name or IAP User Name is ok)
4. What special challenge did he have to overcome in making this pen

Here are the rules:
1. General IAP Contest rules and the General BASH Puzzle rules apply
2. You must send your entry to iap.puzzles@gmail.com
3. One entry per person and one guess per entry. Be sure to put Puzzle #5 in the Subject Line and include your real name and IAP user name in the body of the message along with your list of guesses.
4. You can earn anywhere from 1/2 to 2 points as noted above.
5. Banter is expected and encouraged, but DO NOT post any hints or real guesses in this thread.
6. This contest will close at noon Central Time on Sunday Feb 16.
7. In addition to earning points toward the grand prizes, each entry with at least one correct answer will also be entered into a drawing for one or more individual puzzle prizes

NOTES:
1. The penmaker is eligible to enter this contest.

Good luck, have fun, and let me know if you have any questions
