Anyone ever use the indexing feature on the Barracuda T/N chuck? I like the idea of having it, but realize that I would have more variation in my ability to use it then it would make up for in accuracy.
Example of what I'm talking about: I want to make a goblet for my wife, and I thought that the new crystal things that they sell at Craft Supply would go nicely with it, and since I have this chuck I could space them equally around it. But then I got thinking, 1) I don't have a good way to hold the chuck on the indexing feature to hold it in position, and 2) even if I did, how could I make sure that I was getting in the same spot along the piece and not shifting it up and down a 1/4 inch.
Anyone ever do this that can provide some input?
