Banksia Pod Panache

So... here's my first try at a Panache. I really like the design of the kit, and of course a super blank helps enhance that.
This a banksia pod cast in dyed Alumilite Resin to fill the voids. I got this blank among others from Ankrom Exotics last IAP Bash.

I'm not a fan of banksia pods usually, but I LOVE this pen! Great blank, great use of the kit. Kit finish and blank are a lovely match. Nicely done!

I also don't usually like the banksia pod, but the blue is so vibrant that it makes it look good.

I'd never worked with the pods before, and looking in catalogs they didn't intrigue me, but once I saw the blank, I was eager to give it a go. Casting the pods in a bright-colored resin is a great idea...
